
A drama series "Slán leis an Tíogar" by Brian Ó Tiomáin will be broadcast at 6.30pm every Friday in July on Raidió na Life106.4FM and online at www.raidionalife.ie, starting this Friday, 6th July.
The series is set in present day Dublin and centres on the character of Cóilín, a man from Inis Oírr who finds himself homeless in Dublin city. The drama looks at the difficultiese of life on the streets and the challenges facing Cóilín as he tries to escape that life. However the drama is not without hope and has its share of funny moments. It is basically a love story!
Inis Oírr native Mairtín Ó Coisdealbha stars as Cóilín. Among the other actors involved are Jim Bartley and Margaret Toomy (Bela and Zumo's grandmother in Fair City), Norette Leahy, John Burke, Peter Timmons and Christiane O'Mahony. Seán Ó Cearúil edited and recorded the drama and Brian Ó Tiomáin directed.
The author/director has spent time working for The Simon Community.
