
The Results of Sound and Vision Radio Round 12 have been released. In total 97 projects received €961,589.
There was a total allocation for programmes broadcast on Community Radio services of €376,756.00 (39.2% - 39 projects), programmes for broadcast on on Public Service stations (RTE) €212,737 (22.1%), and on Commercial stations €372,096 (38.7%).
In the community sector NEAR FM again was the most sucessful station with 5 projects worth €48,726.00 matched very closely by Athlone Community Radio (which celebrated one year on air last week) with 4 station projects worth €48,600 and an independent project worth 6,100.
Youghal Community Radio had its best ever Sound and Vision with 3 projects worth 31,700.
Other Community Radio stations to secure funding were
- Claremorris 5 projects worth €25,200,
- Connemara €25,000 (1 project) plus one independent project worth €14,500
- Dublin South €19,580 (3 Projects),
- Dundalk €16,180.00 (3 projects),
- Phoenix €9,000 (1 project ),
- Raidio na Life two independent projects worth 13,470 euros,
- Raidio Corca Baiscinn €28,600(4 projects ),
- TippMidWest €14,800(1 1 project),
- UCC €3,500 (1 project) plus one project worth €6,300
- West Dublin €14,500 (2 projects) plus 3 independent projects worth €45,000 and
- Wired €6,500.00 (1 project).
