News Research / Presentation & Technical Production 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·Based at CRCfm Castlebar, reporting to the station manager
·Researching and presenting hourly news bulletins
·Editing news and interviews on studio software (training given to up-skill)
·Reporting from various locations within the Castlebar area when required
·Editing programmes on studio software for presentation and podcasting
·Complying with station policy in all respects of programming and other duties
·Provide voiceovers for commercials when required
·Perform general station duties as directed by the station manager


The Candidate:
·Must have relevant journalism experience or training (qualification would be an advantage)
·Be familiar with computerised studio editing systems or be willing to up-skill
·A strong team player but be able to work on own initiative when required 
·Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
·Have excellent communication and people skills 
·Must have strong organisational skills 
·Must have a good command of the English language and be capable of communicating by email

Training will be given to the successful candidate but they must be able to hit the ground running and embrace challenges head on. 

Hours of Work:
The role requires twenty hours per week.

Renumeration:
Salary will be paid at the rate of €10 per hour (€200 per week)
