The Community Media Forum of Europe has announced details of its first annual conference. The conference will take place 15 - 17 November 2011 in Nicosia, Cyprus. It will be hosted by the Cyprus Community Media Centre (CCMC).

The event is supported by the EU,  under the Europe for Citizens Programme 2011, and the UN Development Programme. 

Issues to be disscussed include: the state of Community Media in Europe, future challenges and opportunities and intercultural dialogue and participation. 

There will also be practice-based workshops and presentations on European Community Media research and policies. 

The CMFE general assembly will take place on 17th November.
